Did I mention that I graduated? Okay, there you go. So I finally graduated from University it has been such a long and arduous journey and by the grace of Allah, I have completed it. As is the infamous culture in the Mukanda family I had to make my way home for the ultimate graduation party which, to be honest with you is for everyone apart from me. The degree is mine but the party is theirs. I flew home on the 29th, the same day as was my said party, my mother was displeased, to say the least. She kept inquiring on why I did not purchase my ticket on an earlier date, or gotten an earlier ticket. I could neither respond to her questions as the plan to attend my friend's graduation party had been impromptu.

My flight was amazing. This is the first flight that I have paid for as an adult and it feels pretty amazing to be able to foot my own bills. We boarded at 10.40 a.m and at 11.35 a.m I had landed at the Kisumu International Airport ready for my 2-hour flight home.
