I haven’t been here in a minute and I guess this is why someone found the need to Inquire if I really like writing or is it just another chore or task that I have to cross from my to-do list. I don’t mind writing. I don’t mind putting pen to paper and belting out stories for not only you but myself. Writing for me is not a labour of love, this is a skill that I have to cultivate, one that needs watering and weeding from time to time. Unlike public speaking writing comes secondary, I don’t consider myself a writer, I mean how can I when I fail at maintaining a simple routine like writing daily. It's simply not my cup of tea.

But when I’m feeling alive, I like to jot a sentence or five down. These are my happy days, when I can sit still on my laptop or phone and just type away, sharing a piece of my self with every character that comes alive on my screen. Writing though not my stuff as the GenZer in me would say, is a skill that has brought me tones of joy and opportunities. In the face of a pandemic, I’ve been able to write for reputable magazines in both the country and internationally. I have published articles on reputable websites with this intolerable skill. I have ghostwritten for a number of people and don’t get me started on remote jobs, those I’ve bagged like crazy.

I don’t like writing, it’s just not my thing, these are the words that I kept telling myself every now and then but now I have to say that writing might just start rubbing off on me.

Just a little bit.

For now, let me cross this out of my list, I’m done for the day.
